Jeep Wrangler EV Coming To 2027 With Better Off-Road Capabilities

Jeep Wrangler 4xe became the best selling plug-in hybrid number one in the United States in the second quarter of 2021.

JAKARTA - The well-known auto brand from the United States, Jeep will soon launch several new models that have been powered by electricity.

An all-electric angler will arrive at the British market this year. Then there are Wagoneer S and Recon to be introduced to the public in 2024.

But for Wrangler, Jeep confirmed that it has not launched the Wrangler EV in the near future. Manufacturers can only provide a little picture of this car, which has not yet been launched until 2027 in order to optimize the development of the iconic model.

Reporting from Auto Express, last Wednesday, May 10, Jeep has provided little information regarding the all-electric Wrangler. This Jeep flagship car is said to have more impressive ability in the off-road arena than the current model.

Jeep CEO Christian Meunier explained that the latest Wrangler will have the best Trail Rating for off-road capabilities, such as traction, crossing through waters, maneuverability, wheel movement, and ground clearance.

"With the latest Wrangler, we want to increase the Trail Rating to 12. Electrification does not prevent us from doing anything about off-road capabilities," concluded Meunier.

Regarding Jeep electrification, Meunier promises that the performance of electric battery power does not mean reducing Wrangler's ability to off-road. Instead, it will make it more impressive.

"The great thing about electrification is making Jeep more capable. It gives a lot of torque, which makes it more subtle and precise," concluded Meunier.
