JAKARTA Memori hari ini, 10 tahun yang lalu, 6 Januari 2015, Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) gelorakan bajaj butut orange bahan bakar BBI can be exchanged for electric bajaj. The program will be held as a form of rejuvenation from bajaj butut that disturbs the scenery in Jakarta.

Previously, bajaj was a mainstay of residents of the capital city of wara-wiri. Cheap prices and easy to operate in densely populated environments are the efficacy. However, that doesn't mean that Bajaj Butut has no problems. Bajaj from public transportation is noisy and makes pollution.

Bajaj was once an alternative to public transportation that was fast and cheap. Bajaj is considered capable of attracting the interest of Jakarta residents because of its sleek shape. Public transportation is able to explore densely populated areas that incidentally cannot be accessed by public transportation or buses.

The cheap cost is another advantage. Bajaj fans are piled up. However, that doesn't mean Bajaj is here without a problem. Transportation, which from the 1970s had been operating, brought new problems. The existing Bajaj-bajaj started to get stuck.

Recently, Jakarta residents began to be disturbed by black smoke rising from bajaj. The sound of the engine is noisy too. A series of things disturb the comfort of other transportation users on the streets.

The government has begun to be disturbed by the presence of bajaj butut. The power of attorney is trying to find a solution so that the problem of bajaj butut is resolved. The government began to remove other options from the child transport vehicle in 2004.

The government is trying to present a small car. The option is considered capable of answering the challenges of the times and replacing the bajaj butut. Problems arise. Small is relatively expensive. This condition makes bajaj need to be considered the most reasonable. Even if the problem is piled up.

The government of Governor Sutiyoso also inflamed the rejuvenation of bajaj by presenting gas fuel bajaj (BBG). Again, this option is not much in demand because many feel that orange bajaj is still considered cheaper for treatment and its deposit.

"Waiting for the facilities to be ready, you can use fuel. The vehicle is imported from India already with a device that can use gas and oil, just move the button (switch) for the use of fuel four not to become BBG," said Sutiyoso, quoted by the ANTARA website, February 17, 2006.

Sutiyoso's idea of rejuvenating with BBG bajaj is not in much demand. This is because bajaj drivers must also pay to buy a BBG bajaj unit. This condition makes the problem of bajaj unresolved. The governor of DKI Jakarta also changed the problem of rejuvenation of bajaj never finished.

The seriousness of bajaj management emerged when Ahok became Governor of DKI Jakarta. Ahok fully supports electric bajaj as a substitute for bajaj butut, which is fueled with gasoline. The support was not just a servicelip. Ahok immediately gave up the butut bajaj for electric bajaj on January 6, 2015.

Bajaj drivers are considered Ahok to be profitable, even if they pay. They don't have to pay extra for gasoline. Bajaj just takes it home and plug it in. The fuel is full and then bajaj can return to operation. This option can help Jakarta reduce pollution.

"As long as he shows his old bajaj, we give him permission to buy (electric vehicle). So this can only be one exchange of one, the old bajaj must be destroyed. (Electric shock) This is okay, yes this breakthrough is extraordinary. (If the driver doesn't want to buy electricity bajaj) we can't force it.

"But logically, you definitely want it. This is Rp. 40 million, if the BBG is Rp. 75 million, the bajaj is red at Rp. 50 million. It's better if the electricity is right, go home to make fun and sleep," Ahok said as quoted on Detik.com page, January 6, 2015.
