Memories Of SBY Claiming To Be Descendants Of King Majapahit

JAKARTA - Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) has a big role in the Democratic Party. He was able to become a powerful jurkam to intensify Democrats' votes in political contestation. However, SBY, who incidentally won the President of Indonesia, chose to be neutral in the 2014 election.

The Democratic Party's voice has fallen. Later, SBY did not want to repeat the same narrative. He wanted the Democratic Party's vote to be successful in the 2019 election. He moved completely. In fact, he claimed to be the path of the Majapahit Kingdom which would bring victory to the party bearing the Mercy Star symbol.

The 2014 Election contestation is full of dynamics. The big party is starting to prepare its candidates to become the number one person in Indonesia. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is preparing the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The Gerindra Party has Prabowo Subianto. The joy of the election was also present in the winning party for the 2009 Election: Democratic Party. They held a Democratic Party presidential candidate convention to recruit candidates who deserved to be promoted. However, convention participants chose only the stocking popularity.

Meanwhile, SBY is already within the two-term power limit. In the end, the 2014 election stage was centered on Jokowi and Prabowo. SBY himself chose to stand outside the political arena. He did not want to be labeled as disturbing the course of democracy by interfering or being a Democratic jurkam.

The decision clearly brought difficulties to the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party can no longer dominate the election. Democrats only rank four. Right under PDIP, Golkar, and Gerindra.

The defeat was accepted gracefully by SBY and the Democratic Party. However, they did not want to repeat the same narrative in the 2019 election. SBY is ready to go down the mountain to help capture the votes of party sympathizers who were scattered.

The Democrats then received serial number 14. The number was considered special by SBY because the 14th century was the heyday century of Majapahit. In particular, SBY mentioned his children: Eddie Baskoro Yudhoyono and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono are the 14th breed of the Majapahit Kingdom.

"If it is followed from my grandparents Ki Ageng Buwono Keling to my two children, namely Agus Harimurti and Eddie Baskoro, are the 14th breed. Signs of the era, God willing, our party will rise and win again," said SBY in front of 1,500 Democratic cadres throughout East Java, quoted on the BBC Indonesia website, February 25, 2018.

Not a few national figures claim to be descendants of the ancient Indonesian kingdom. Whether or not a claim is clear is different. They chose to reveal it first. Recent evidence matters. The status of SBY as the Majapahit route was also sanctioned.

Information about the SBY route in Majapahit is not just accepted. However, the Deputy Chief of the Democratic Party, Andi Arief, tried to convince the public that SBY really came from the Majapahit route. The proof of the tree was tried by Andi Arief on Twitter / X social media.

Silsilah, who uploaded Andi Arief, placed SBY, the 13th descendant of Raden Wijaya - the First King of Majapahit. Then, his children are of 14th descent.

SBY's claim regarding the Majapahit family has actually been read long ago. The narrative lies in the naming of his grandchildren who included the Majapahit element in the name. Take the first grandson of SBY, Almira Tungggadewi Yudhoyono who was born in 2008.

The name Tunggadewi is thought to have come from the name of Mrs. Hayam Muruk. A strong Majapahit leader with a strong Mahapatih Gajah Mada. This legitimacy may be considered an important part of the national political arena.

SBY is said to have given encouragement to his descendants to lead in the future. This claim could be a form of legitimacy of power. However, not a few doubted SBY's claims. The claim is considered just a trick so that the Indonesian people believe in and re-elect the Democratic party.

However, Majapahit's claim with the myth of number 14 was actually unable to save the Democratic Party from defeat. The Democratic vote actually declined. At that time, the Democrats were ranked sixth in the 2019 election. This condition was because the Democrats did not have cadres or figures to boost votes, apart from SBY.
