President Of SBY And Honoris Causa Title From Soka University, Japan In Today's Memory, October 14, 2014

JAKARTA Memories of today, 10 years ago, October 14, 2014, Soka University, Japan awarded the title of Honoris Causa Doctor for education and culture to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). The award was carried out because SBY had great concern in the field of education.

Previously, SBY was brilliant in his efforts to pursue education. He managed to get a classy title from a well-known campus. Later, SBY followed in the footsteps of other national leaders who collected honorary doctorates.

SBY is a person who prioritizes education. He always takes his education seriously. The target is not only to be able to pass. He must be able to achieve brilliant results. The proof is that he managed to become the best graduate of the Military Academy (Akmil) in 1973.

He also has the right to hold the award of Adhi Makayasa. His military career continues to skyrocket. However, education remains the main thing. He studied at the US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, USA in 1990-1991.

He once won a Master of Arts title in the field of Menjemen at Webster University, Missouri. SBY also briefly studied S-2 at the Bogor Agricultural Institute in Agriculture. he studied at that time to coincide with SBY when the campaign as a presidential candidate from the Democratic Party was intense in 2004.

The peak of SBY's doctoral dissertation exam when he was elected President of Indonesia has not been inaugurated. SBY was tense, no joke. He listens to stories from his colleagues who have studied at IPB. The campus is known to be difficult in passing people.

The story does not make SBY's guts shrink. He continues to focus on his dissertation entitled Agricultural and Rural Development as an effort to Overcome Poverty and Unemployment: Fiscal Policy Political Economy Analysis.

He immediately explained all kinds of questions carefully. SBY also graduated with the title of praise or cum laude.

"One two nights before completing the dissertation here, a number of friends scared me. On another campus, the exam was a title declaration, but if it was on the IPB the exam was a test, it could have passed or not. Another story, I was told, it is said that one of the examiners, from a neighboring country, asked other fellow examiners from Indonesia.."

"Is it true that he wants to be president? At that time I finished participating in the second round of elections, he answered correctly, he said unfortunately, he should have been a professor at IPB. SBY also rose to become President of Indonesia. This power made SBY like other national leaders who were bombarded by honorary doctorates from everywhere. SBY was happy when he received honorary titles from various fields from national to international campuses.

Soka University considers SBY worthy of receiving an honorary doctorate. They rely on his opinion on SBY's work as long as his government cares about the development of national education.
