The victory made the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair only wait for time to be sworn in on October 20, 2019. Both of them tried to get dissolved in their daily activities. Jokowi himself continues his duties as President of Indonesia.

The victory made many of other countries congratulate. The government of the People's Republic of China also congratulated Jokowi directly at the Bogor Palace on September 20, 2019.

China revealed that Jokowi was a great figure because he was able to convince the Indonesian people to still choose him. The Chinese government also expressed its intention to be able to continue working together in all fields with the Jokowi government in the future.
