JAKARTA - A prestigious battle in political contestation can be seen in the 2012 DKI Jakarta Pilgub. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) unite to carry the pair Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).

The two parties agreed with politician Boy Bernardi Sadikin to become Jokowi-Ahok Teamses. The result was jarring. Ali Sadikin's son was able to bring Jokowi-Ahok to victory. However, in the 2017 gubernatorial election Boy was actually in the camp against Ahok.

The enthusiasm of the whole of Indonesia for the 2012 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election is high. This condition is because who will lead Jakarta can get a large portion of being a national figure. However, Boy has become a seasoned PDIP politician who started the career of PDIP members from below and succeeded since 1998. The result was jarring. Boy was able to be the mouthpiece of the Jokowi-Ahok couple. Whoever beat Jokowi-Ahok with the negative issue Boy Sadikin always put up a body to explain.

He explained with good and easy-to-understand grammar. Boy is able to wrap up Jokowi-Ahok's campaign as best as possible, he combines creative campaigns and takes advantage of the symbol of candidate simplicity. This condition made Betawi's bloodless Jokowi-Ahok able to excel in the first phase of the gubernatorial election on July 11, 2012.

The candidate who was supported by Golkar fell out. This condition remains only the fight between Jokowi-Ahok and Foke-Nara. However, Dewi Fortuna was on Jokowi-Ahok's side in the second round of the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election on September 20, 2012.

Boy who contributed to the victory did not want to mention the victory of the 2012 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election in a small scope. He called Jokowi-Ahok's victory a victory for Jakarta residents.

Perhaps if Jokowi continues his intention to build Jakarta (not become President of Indonesia), Boy might support the Mebel Tukang in the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, that is impossible.

PDIP is already busy nominating Ahok as a candidate for the gubernatorial candidate who competes. Boy was initially rumored to be accompanying Ahok to become a cawagub. However, the issue missed. PDIP instead nominated Ahok- Djarot Saiful Hidayat.

Boy also concluded that he would not support Ahok. He considered Ahok as a jumping rat politician, from Golkar, Gerindra, then PDIP. Another consideration that is considered important is Boy, Ahok is the reason for the emergence of many SARA issues. His mouth is uncontrollable. There are also several policies that Ahok has worked out to hurt the hearts of Jakarta residents.

At its peak, Ahok often blamed his father (Ali Sadikin) Boy as the culprit of the Jakarta problem. Boy chose not to support Ahok. He also decided to leave PDIP on September 21, 2016. Boy was then appointed chairman of the Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno Volunteer Team, which incidentally against Ahok.
