Ahok Reveals Fictitious Tombs In Jakarta In Today's Memory, June 9, 2016

JAKARTA Memories of today, eight years ago, June 9, 2016, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) revealed that many fictitious tombs were scattered in public cemeteries. Ahok's fictitious tomb is a tomb that already has a tombstone, but there is no body in it.

Previously, Ahok received a lot of information from Jakarta residents regarding the existence of a fictitious tomb mode. Fictitious graves are deliberately presented in order to manipulate the management of the tomb. Alias, the tomb is sold to those who want to pay.

Citra Jakarta is indeed classy as the center of Indonesia's economy. However, the classy Jakarta has a dark side. Anything can be used as a business in the capital city. Good business to bad business are all there. In fact, unreasonable businesses have sprung up.

The general assembly has even been twisted by the emergence of the issue of a fictitious tomb. The tomb was deliberately given a tombstone, but there were no bodies in it. The trick is used to manipulate the management of the tomb.

The graves filled with fictitious tombs are in favorite locations. Take for example in front of the tomb or place that is easily accessible. This condition is suspected to be due to the many fictitious grave positions ordered by people in advance, such as the pre-order system now.

The news reached the vicinity of Governor Ahok. At first Ahok couldn't understand that something like that had happened. However, because of the high public reports regarding indications of a fictitious tomb, he spoke up. Ahok revealed that the fictitious tomb was considered to have been scattered in various public cemeteries in Jakarta on June 9, 2016.

Ahok was furious. He considered the practice a form of violation. Moreover, the practice of fictitious tombs that Ahok heard was even at the Karet Bivak TPU, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. Ahok immediately asked his staff to trace the existence of a fictitious tomb.

The presence of this fictitious tomb must be eradicated. The perpetrator must be immediately searched for and given a deterrent effect. This is because the breakthrough he made could damage the image of the DKI Jakarta government. The government is considered to be involved in the fictitious grave business.

"There used to be a grave that was close to the front (part), there was a tombstone, actually it was not registered as fictitious. There were several TPUs. There were also some in Karet Bivak. That's why we are still investigating," said Ahok at the Nasdem Party DPP Office as quoted on Detik.com page, June 9, 2016.

The mode of extortion for the grave is wanted to be eradicated by Ahok. He also promised the citizens of Jakarta to immediately reshuffle the Jakarta park official. Because they should have a big task in preventing such extortion practices from happening.

If the fictitious tombs have existed for a long time, then it is clear that the head of the service and his staff are considered incompetent at work. The only option that is most likely for Ahok is to overhaul everything. This choice was made so that bureaucratic reform would run.

Changes will not be obtained if you only remove your superiors. His subordinates can still continue the relief of the bad. That's why Ahok wants to make strict selections for prospective DKI civil servants. The selection is so that people who have no hearts until the fictitious grave business is no longer caught.

"If it's just changing the head of the service, but the lower ones don't change everything, there's no use. Even though we have continued to press the head of the service, (the funeral management) has used electronics, we have fixed (the system)," said Ahok at DKI City Hall as quoted by the vivanews.com page, June 10, 2016.
