Taylor Swift Releases Surprise Album, Folklore Today

JAKARTA - Giving up on the situation does not mean you have to be lethargic and unproductive. Taylor Swift will suddenly release her new album, Folklore, on Friday, July 24, US time.

Remarkably, all of the songs on this album are his work during self-quarantine. He also did not leak this idea to the public, so that the Swifties (as Taylor Swift fans) felt shocked and unprepared.

Folklore, the Love Story singer 8th studio album will contain 16 songs that he worked on with his relatives. But for the deluxe version, it includes a bonus track called The Lakes which can be obtained when purchasing this version.

In his tweet, he wrote this album, which is a mix of dreams, dreams, fears, and thoughts in being quarantined for some time. He was assisted by Aaron Dessner, William Bowery, Jack Antonoff, and musician Bon Iver who dueted with him on the track Exile.

Taylor Swift's disappointment started when she had to cancel her entire tour of her last album, Lover, which was released in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The album, which he composed lovingly, cannot yet be shown due to the situation that cannot be helped.

He thought about the right time to release music like this. "But the time we live in keeps reminding me that nothing is certain." Therefore he felt, if we have something we love, we have to show it to the world.

From a marketing standpoint, he doesn't release as many puzzles as he usually does. Usually Swift changes her Instagram feed and writes leaked track titles in the album. Not this time though, but fans are still happy.

The single chosen from the Folklore album is Cardigan, in which Taylor Swift is the writer and director of the video clip. He leaked a music video shooting session adhering to health regulations; The Cats movie star even dressed up and chose his own costume.
