Shin Min Ah's Feelings After Korean Drama, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Airs

JAKARTA - Hometown drama Cha-Cha-Cha finally aired last August 28. This drama marks Shin Min Ah's return to romantic comedies. Previously, Shin Min Ah succeeded in making fans baper through the drama Oh My Venus with So Ji Sub.

Shin Min Ah let go of the romantic comedy genre after starring in the thriller genre film "Diva" (2020) and the series "Chief of Staff" which raised political stories.

Nicknamed the "Queen of Romantic Comedy", she is happy to be back after tasting other genres over the past few years. Shin Min-a feels excited and grateful to fans who are looking forward to her action again in a romantic comedy story.

"I was looking to star in a romantic comedy again, then I read a very good screenplay with an amazing character, I immediately fell in love with Hye Jin's character, that's the first reason why I got involved here," said Shin Min-a at a press conference quoted from BETWEEN, Monday, August 30.

Shin Min Ah plays dentist Yoon Hye-jin, a dentist who is pragmatic and sticks to her principles in life. After moving from Seoul and opening his own clinic in the seaside village of Gongjin, he meets Hong Du-sik (Kim Seon-ho) - an unemployed man who is versatile and is relied on by everyone in the village.

As part of the role observation, Shin Min Ah came for a check-up with her dentist. While at the clinic, he observed the dentist's movements and expressions while working.

"I also observe the atmosphere around the dentist, I also try to understand the feelings of the character," he said.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is set in a fictional seaside village called Gongjin. Originally, this place was the beautiful port city of Pohang. From stunning beaches to adorable village locations, there are plenty of sights to please your eyes. He conveyed their amazement at the scenery in this place, and how seeing the sea made them feel comfortable and at ease.

"It feels calming, tired after work as if less when looking at the sea view. The beautiful atmosphere gives me energy," he said.

The bond that exists between the players is one that the audience should look forward to, he said. Shin Min Ah hopes that the "chemistry" between all the characters can entertain the viewers of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
