Synopsis Of Cyanide Series First Episode, Lesbian Love Leads To Death

JAKARTA - The Cyanida series tells the story of several women who are good friends. Two of them, Amelia (Jihane Almira) and Jenny (Aghniny Haque) have a crush on each other. Amelia is forced to marry by her family with David (Rio Dewanto) because they want to separate Amelia from Jenny.

Five years apart, they meet to miss each other. Amelia and Jenny could not break the same-sex relationship.

One day, they gathered at a cafe. Amelia who drank coffee containing cyanide died on the spot and Jenny was accused of being the killer. Jenny instead accuses David of being the mastermind behind Amelia's death.

Cyanide is special because it is the first WeTV Original series with a crime thriller theme. Rio Dewanto admitted that he was enthusiastic about starring in this series.

"I am grateful that I was given the character of David in the Cyanada series. When I read the script, there were many issues raised by the practice of killing Cyanide. But the most crowded ones were in cafes mixed with coffee. Hopefully with this series there will be no more crime using cyanide. ," he hoped during a virtual press release, Tuesday, August 24.

Playing a lesbian character, Aghniny reveals a lot of things that happen, including the biggest challenges. Dai didn't even hesitate when he kissed Jihan. Aghny also did not deny that he had practiced kissing before starting the shooting process.

"At that time, suddenly, I had the idea of 'Ji kiss, let's kiss it. Then finally it was really the first time (kissing) was seen by many people. So let me know what it feels like to kiss the same sex," he said.

Aghnyni Haque revealed that the kiss scene with Jihan Almira in the film was only done twice. But behind the scenes, he and Jihan practiced kissing and making out on set. The Cyanide Series is packaged in 12 episodes that can be watched starting August 25, 2021 every Wednesday at 18:00 WIB.
