Allegedly Back to Adopt a Child, Nagita Slavina: I'm Just a Foster Mom

JAKARTA - Nagita Slavina finally gave clarification regarding the status of a baby boy named Muhammad who later stole the public's attention.

Raffi Ahmad's wife confirmed that she did not adopt the baby, but rather acted as a temporary nanny or foster mom.

In his statement, Nagita revealed his love for babies made him willing to help the foundation to care for babies who need a temporary place to stay. Muhammad himself is not the first baby he has cared for at his residence.

"Happy, I really like babies. This is the nth baby that has been entrusted," said Nagita Slavina, quoted by VOI from the upload of the @fyp_trans7 Instagram account, Friday, March 20.

Nagita explained that Muhammad's presence at her house was part of the procedure before the baby was taken to the official foundation.

Because the location of the foundation is outside the city, babies born in Jakarta need a temporary place to stay before they can be sent away.

"Actually, these babies were handed over to the foundation, and I acted as their foster mom for a few months," explained the mother of two.

He added that logistical conditions were the main reason why the baby could not be sent directly to the foundation's location.

"Because the foundation is outside the city and the baby is in Jakarta, so it can't fly (sent) directly. There must be a place to stop first," he added.

Regarding the duration, Nagita said that the temporary care period usually lasts for one to three months. After the documents and conditions of the baby are ready, they will be flown to the foundation concerned.

"Usually, it takes a month, two months, up to three months to be deposited first," he concluded.

Previously, the public had speculated that Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina had adopted a child again after the two uploaded a photo of themselves with baby Muhammad.

However, this explanation also dispelled the issue of adoption and clarified Nagita's role as a liaison for babies from the foundation.
