JAKARTA - Actor Jonathan Bailey has been named the Sexiest Man in 2025 according to American magazine, People. Bailey became the latest name after the magazine gave the nickname to actor John Krasinski in 2024.

When it was revealed on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jonathan Bailey said he was honored to have earned the nickname from the classic magazine.

"It's an honor for life, and I want to say, Jimmy thanks for refusing (the title) so I can get it," said Jonathan Bailey.

Bailey admitted she heard the announcement while preparing for her latest theater, Richard II, which was adapted from a mitigation work.

The only impressive thing besides preparing for Richard II is being invited to this. And in 2025, I was impressed that People magazine invited someone to interpret this nickname to appreciate the value of sexy men," he explained.

The Sexiest Man Alive is an annual segment made by People since 1985. Starting from the segment for magazines, this nickname later became a pop culture phenomenon that the public has always been waiting for.

Jonathan Bailey has been acting since 1995, but his popularity was massively felt when he played the Bridgerton series on Netflix.

This year, he also dominated the Hollywood big screen by playing a role in the films Wicked and Jurassic World: Rebirth.

Bailey also returned to play Fiyero for the Wicked sequel, Wicked: For Good.
