Indra Bekti Expresses His Experience With Young Artists Who Are Not Polite

JAKARTA - Senior Presenter Indra Bekti shared his experience regarding changes in the attitude of the new generation in the entertainment world. He admitted that he often encounters young artists who he considered disrespectful, especially in direct interactions.

"Many, yes often. There are (young artists who are not polite). There are a lot of them, nowadays people rarely watch TV, right? They watch it on YouTube, everything, so they are lacking," said Indra Bekti, quoted by VOI from YouTube Trans7 Official, Wednesday, May 14.

According to him, the shift of viewing platforms from television to digital media also affects the attitudes and ethics of newcomers in the entertainment industry. He considered that many of them were normal when they met seniors.

"Finally, when I meet them, it's normal, it's not the one, 'Sis Indra bla bla bla (because it's stale greeting)', right. He's been silent (young artist), I'm silent, I don't want to show off if I'm an artist," he said.

Indra also shared a moment when he met one of the young female artists at an event. He tried to be friendly, but the response he received felt cold.

"So sitting next to me, a girl like that. Sitting basically (his feet) are getting up a bit, I offered, 'let's eat', that's it, pretending to be close, because the guest star was also at the event," he said.

"Then finally, I tried, 'Let's eat everything, eat. Mbak, let's eat', (show your thumb), you're making up, maybe you're making up, so you can't talk, you just make up here (around your mouth)," he continued.

Seeing this, Indra Bekti was reluctant to show excessive reactions and chose to continue to consume the consumption that had been given to him.

"Yes, just eat again. It turned out that he didn't participate in the event, I don't know where he went," he concluded.
