Russell Brand Arrested By Police, Denies Involved In Harassment Case

JAKARTA - Russell Brand was arrested by the London police for sexual harassment, rape, and assault on Friday, April 4 local time. Police stated that Brand was arrested on four cases since being investigated by detectives 18 months ago.

This case occurred to four different women. Launching Deadline, Russell Brand is suspected of abusing a woman in Bournemouth in 1999, attacking a woman in Westminster in 2001, abuse of women in Westminster in 2004.

Not only that, he also abused other women between 2004 and 2005.

Police said they had issued an arrest warrant to Russell Brand in Oxfordshire in England.

Brand is scheduled to attend the hearing on May 2. In his statement, he admitted that he had not settled in England because he was busy with his affairs in the United States.

"I don't live in England because personally I'm going through how media, government, gambling, if you suddenly feel uncomfortable, will always find a way to attack you," Russell Brand said in his Rumble service.

Through his X account, Brand denied that he was a rapist in accordance with the allegations and reports of the case.

"I've never been involved in non-consensual activities, I pray you can see it by looking into my eyes," said Russell Brand.

"Of course I now have the opportunity to defend the accusations in court and I am grateful for that," he said.

This isn't the first time Russell Brand has been accused of being involved in a rape case. Since the 2000s, he was once said to have abused on the set of the film Arthur in 2011.
