JAKARTA - Director Paul Schrader admits he doesn't like the Joker sequel, Folie Laughs at Deux. He revealed that he didn't watch the film completely while in theaters.

In his latest interview, the director shared his experience watching the sequel starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

"I only watched 10 or 15 minutes. I went, bought something, came back, watched another 10 minutes. Enough," Paul Schrader quoted Interview as saying.

When asked why this film is called bad, Schrader explained Joker 2 is a bad musical.

"I don't like the two (main characters). I don't like them as actors, I don't like them as characters," he continued.

"I don't really like it. Tell me, those people, if they come to the house, you will definitely be hiding behind the house," said Paul Schrader.

Not only Schrader, Joker 2 does not benefit from the amount of the previous film. This sequel only earned 165 million US dollars for revenue around the world while its budget touched 200 million US dollars.

In less than a month of broadcast, Joker 2 will also soon be available for digital viewing on October 29.

On the other hand, Paul Schrader, known as the trilogy Man in a Room, will return with his latest films Oh, Canada and Non Compos Mentis.
