Had A Doubt, Paula Verhoeven Was Relieved After Being Allowed To Wear A Hijab By Baim Wong

JAKARTA - Paula Verhoeven tries to tell about her spiritual journey to convince herself to wear the hijab that has existed since 2019.

Even though she has had a desire for a long time, Paula feels like there are obstacles that make her still complain when wearing the hijab.

"When I was in Umrah with Baim, there was actually a desire to wear a hijab. But why sometimes there are (barriers) like I felt, 'how complicated do you want to be ablution?', continue to like to feel, 'how hot?', that's how you like to complain like that, Budeg," said Paula Verhoeven, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Monday, October 7.

Feeling hidayah never came, Paula decided to tell her friends about it which finally made her return to being patient.

"My friends said, 'Calm down, Pau, how come it will go away on your own,' he said. So there I kept waiting for the guidance, I know the hijab of a Muslim's obligation, but I'm still looking for it," said Paula.

Unexpectedly, the guidance finally came when he umrah was the second time with Baim, where at that moment Paula continued to offer prayers to make him more confident in wearing the hijab.

"I pray again, when I was tawaf I really wanted to strengthen my heart to wear a hijab. People say we changed ourselves 40 years, so as much as possible I wanted before 40 years. Yes, I hope Istikamah," hoped Paula Verhoeven.

Fortunately, it was his good intention to be fully supported by his husband who immediately allowed him to wear a hijab. "I gave permission to Baim at that time, 'oh, can I wear the hijab or not?' Yes, I said I was afraid to die, but after he said he could feel relieved and steady," he said.
