JAKARTA - Heha Ocean View Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta empowers around 80 percent of local residents. The local employees came from a number of areas around the tourist attractions such as residents of Girikarta, Panggang, Saptosari and Purwasari.

While the rest came from outside tourist areas such as Jakarta, Surabaya and several other cities around Yogyakarta.

"I myself am a local citizen. Many local residents here are used as employees, which is 80% of the existing residents," said Dio Arlianto, one of the employees of Heha Ocean View, Sunday, October 6.

Dio said that local residents who were empowered came from various levels of education, ranging from elementary to undergraduate levels, all of which were regularly recruited.

According to him, the public is very enthusiastic about welcoming the presence of these tourist attractions, because apart from opening new jobs, the presence of Heha Ocean View is also able to boost the economic value of residents through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which continues to grow.

"For the economy of the surrounding community, it is definitely very helpful, where in the lower parking lot there has been a lot of land clearing for street vendors. They can sell parked fields," he said.

In addition, the presence of Heha Ocean View also opens a shuttle operator business outside the Heha Ocean View area which functions to transport visitors who come by bus.

In addition, the tourist spot, which is located in Girikarto Gunungkidul Village, is now a new tourist magnet in the Yogyakarta area even though it only operated in 2021.

Heha Ocean View became a new tourist destination that immediately skyrocketed because it offered a different tourism concept, namely the sea panorama from the height of the hills on the southern coast of Yogyakarta.

The combination of marine beauty with the concept of an aesthetic building makes Heha Ocean View one of the most popular and most wanted tourist attractions and is sought by local and foreign tourists. The combination of around 12 instagramable photo spots is another attraction from this tourist destination.

HeHa is the merger of the first names of the two main founders of the original wong Jogja, namely Herry and Handoyo. Meanwhile, Ocean View emphasized that this place is located on the sea and hilly edges. HeHa Ocean View is under the auspices of the same corporation as the HeHa Sky View tourist attraction in Patuk, Gunungkidul and HeHa Forest in Kaliurang, Sleman.

Heha Ocean View can be accessed from the center of Yogyakarta City with a distance of 47 km with an estimated travel time of about 1.5 hours.
