Amanda Green's Story Conducts Research To Mental Hospitals For (2024)

JAKARTA - Model Amanda Mutiara Green made her acting debut through the horror film made by Ferry Pei Irawan, Pulau Hantu (2024). In this film, he plays Mala, a figure who gives terror to his protagonists.

Debut with a large portion of role, Amanda had to prepare for her role first. He revealed that he carried out a long process before filming.

"During the reading process first, because I'm just acting and new here, so I've been reading long before reading (together) and before filming," Amanda Green said at a press conference in Jakarta on Friday, October 4.

"I read first and Mala have a layer of emotions, so it's not enough just one go reading but I read and research many times to the Panti and RSJ (Single Hospital). It helps research into films," he said.

In addition to research, he also felt helped by Taskya Namya who is a fellow model with him. Taskya herself has joined the world of acting first.

"I couldn't ask for crew and team with Sis Taskya who was very helpful because I was also the first film and got this role nervewrecking because she has so much layers, I'm afraid it won't be translated," Amanda explained.

"So that means that's all I was afraid of while filming, oh I haven't found it yet. After filming, the magic of shooting was real, finally I felt like I was Mala without me knowing because I was already researching," said Amanda.

Taskya Namya added that Amanda's struggle as Mala was very visible and she hoped that her best friend's acting could be appreciated.

"I saw the process from the beginning of casting until it was accepted because I was in the same film with him because it was not easy to enter the film industry," said Taskya Namya.

Hantu Island (2024) tells the story of Dara (Taskya Namya) who chooses to celebrate college graduation with her friends even though her mother (Izabel Jahja) has banned her. They vacationed by boat until one day they were stranded on an island that turned out to be haunted.
