Holds Closed Meeting, ADOR Confirms Min Hee Jin's Plan To Be Director

JAKARTA - Wednesday, September 25, the ADOR label released an official statement regarding the conflict between Min Hee Jin and NewJeans. Previously they stated that Min Hee Jin's position as CEO was withdrawn and he was a producer for NewJeans.

The five NewJeans members also held live broadcasts without the knowledge of the label and gave their views on the situation. They confirmed that they wanted Min Hee Jin to return as their CEO and wait for a response until September 25.

Earlier this week, ADOR reportedly held a closed-door meeting with parents and the five NewJeans members on this matter. They shared the news that they proposed Min Hee Jin to manage the production or concept of NewJeans during the NewJeans contract.

ADOR held a shareholder meeting to appoint Min Hee Jin as internal director at today's meeting. Earlier on September 11, ADOR had proposed director Min Hee Jin to handle NewJeans production for five years which counted as the remaining members' contracts," ADOR said on the same day.

"However, the directors discussed and decided that the request (NewJeans) for him to return as CEO was not yet acceptable," he said.

They are open to negotiating opportunities including Min Hee Jin's current position. They also do not deny that negotiations can take place in the future.

"Discussions from today's meeting and other information have been sent via email to NewJeans members," said ADOR closing the statement.

NewJeans had sent an ultimatum to HYBE for Min Hee Jin to return as CEO. Min Hee Jin also proposed himself to return as director and CEO of ADOR to HYBE.

ADOR is a sub-label founded by Min Hee Jin under the HYBE company with the aim of orbiting Min Hee Jin's new group. Prior to joining HYBE, Min Hee Jin was the creative director at SM Entertainment with 22 years of experience.
