JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ambassador to France, Mohamad Oemar, expressed his commitment to support the development of exyar through the promotion of the Indonesian modest fashion industry at the international level, especially in Paris.

This is in line with the goal of making Indonesia the world's modest fashion qiblat, as well as increasing Indonesia's exports. History has recorded France as the world's fashion capital, as reflected in the French fashion industry which is able to represent 30% of the global industrial market share with a total turnover of 154 billion euros and generate 1 million jobs in France.

This is an opportunity for Indonesia to penetrate the market, especially in encouraging an increase in the export of wastra-based fashion based on the archipelago.

On the same occasion, a breakthrough to encourage the promotion of Indonesian modest fashion products in the global realm was carried out through the signing of a cooperation agreement between the IKRA Council and Printemps Paris.

This collaboration will strengthen the exposure of IKRA assisted products sold at the Printems shopping center in Paris.

Supporting these efforts, Bank Indonesia is synergizing again with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC) and the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Paris France at the Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF) which was held for the second time in Paris, France on September 7, 2024.

The IN2MF modest fashion show is integrated with the global scale trade show Who's Next on September 8-10 2024 at Porte de Versailles, Paris. This event features wastra-based fashion with sustainable and polite principles that are ready to compete in the global market in terms of quality, innovation and current trends.

Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Juda Agung said that fashion with a polite appearance is not only a trend, but a global movement that reflectscaria, dignity, and cultural pride that is in line with Indonesian values.

Deputy Governor of Juda added that the contribution of the modest fashion industry in supporting ex-year progress needs to be strengthened to the global market, in line with Indonesia's achievements which have been ranked third in the fashion modest industry in the State of the Global Islamic Economy 2023 report.

In the future, Bank Indonesia together with strategic partners will continue to support IN2MF to penetrate the global market and strengthen the promotion of wastra Nusantara through the development of innovation and international standard creativity.

IN2MF Paris is a series towards the peak of IN2MF on October 30, November 3, 2024, in conjunction with the 11th Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) in 2024. This year, IN2MF has been held in several world cities, namely Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and Istanbul.

In2MF Paris this time also featured well-known Indonesian design works including Itang Yunaz, Wignyo, and Dian Pelangi.
