Hybrid Version Of Subaru Forester Will Debut In Mid-Next Year, Using Toyota Technology?

JAKARTA - The puzzle of the debut of a hybrid car from Subaru has been answered. The automotive manufacturer from Japan confirmed that it will launch a Hybrid Forestr next year.

Launching from Motor1, Saturday, December 28, the manufacturer's official website revealed that this SUV will be present in mid-2025. This means that the Hybrid Forester will debut in June or July.

Thus, this marks the return of Subaru to the hybrid market after launching the Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) version of the Crosstrek in 2023. It is reported that the United States (US) market will accept this model first before it will be marketed globally.

Although further information is still minimal, this SUV will use Toyota's electric and battery motor technology. Of course this is not surprising considering that the brand, which is synonymous with blue, also uses technology from Toyota to present Solterra electric cars.

Some time ago, the Hybrid Forester was caught being tested by the road shrouded in dark camouflage. At first glance, the SUV did not experience any striking changes compared to its latest generation.

Subaru continues to maintain a front goal that blends with a compact LED light that produces the effect of the shielding connected to each other. There is a Subaru logo covered in the grip section, showing the potential for some changes to be offered.

The other outside also looks the same as a tough rim arch. This SUV also has aerodynamic elements in order to improve performance and stability so that reliable people can advance in various conditions.

Subaru also said that it will produce a next-generation hybrid transaxle system starting this fall and hybrid vehicle production will follow around the beginning of 2025. A year later, the manufacturer will start production of Hybrid Forestrs at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) plant, United States (US).

It is estimated that the hybrid system will be offered with machines used on the current Forester. As an illustration, the current generation is equipped with a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder boxer with 180 dk of power and 241 Nm of torque.
