Taeil Ex NCT Involved In Harassment Cases, Reports Of Entry Have Been Revealed Since June 2024

JAKARTA - The agency and the police released a statement regarding a sexual harassment case involving Taeil's name. It is known, Taeil was announced to have left the NCT group after SM Entertainment found out about the criminal case.

SM Entertainment stated that they only found out about this case in mid-August. The agency took the time to determine until in the end, they removed the singer whose real name is Moon Taeil from this group.

The two companies and Taeil first learned of the report in mid-August. Taeil was investigated by the police on August 28, SM Entertainment quoted Newsen as saying on Thursday, August 29.

Bangbae Police previously confirmed that they were examining Taeil for a sexual case in June after receiving a report from the victim. Since then, the police conducted an investigation until they summoned Taeil this month.

Furthermore, the Bangbae Police said the victim of this case was an adult woman, not in accordance with the circulating news. The time and specific information were not announced by the police.

Initially, the public was surprised by SM Entertainment's statement that released Taeil from the group after being involved in a sexual harassment case.

"As we are working on issues, we assess the tough situation and decide Taeil cannot continue activities with the team (NCT)," the agency said on Wednesday, August 28.

After discussing with Taeil, we decided he left the group, continued the agency.

"Currently Taeil is fully cooperative with police investigations. We will provide a new statement in accordance with the investigation process," they said.
