JAKARTA - Gongchan announced that he had left the WM Entertainment agency. After 13 years, he decided not to renew his contract with his agency.

Even though his solo contract ended, Gongchan emphasized that he would still be part of the B1A4 group managed by WM Entertainment.

"After in-depth discussions with Gongchan B1A4, we decided to terminate the management contract with Gongchan as of June 30, 2024," the agency said.

"We will continue to manage the group activities with B1A4 (CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan)," he said.

The agency thanked Gongchan for his appreciation and hard work while joining their company. In the future, they hope that Gongchan can continue his activities as a soloist and member of B1A4.

"We want to thank Gongchan for the trust and collaboration we shared over the past 13 years. We also thank fans who love and support Gongchan," he said.

"Always, we will continue to support Gongchan in the future and are committed to supporting B1A4 activities," concluded the agency.

B1A4 consists of Jinyoung, Baro, CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan initially left behind by Baro and Jinyoung in 2018. Then they are not active as a group while the other three are actively promoting groups.

CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan are serving in the military and completing their duties in 2023. At the beginning of this year, they released a mini album titled Connect and the main single Rewind.
