Playing In The Movie Keeps Promise, Faradina Mufti Learns Political Language

JAKARTA - Faradina Mufti is trusted to play in a comedy politics film directed by the General Elections Commission (KPU) with the production house Asta Jaya Centra Cinema, Padi Padi Creative, and Garin Workshop entitled Keepah Janji.

Faradina revealed that this was her first film to play in a political drama genre film and collaborated with director Garin Nugroho.

No wonder he was surprised because Garin often suddenly changed his character dialogue, namely Tari.

"And I just found out that, for example, Mas Garin really likes to surprise his players, whether it's an additional sudden scene or a sudden change of dialogue," said Faradina Mufti at the VOI office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 13.

For Faradina, this is a challenge for him as an actor who is required to be able to explore his character in this film.

"It's quite interesting because it means that we as players are also given a challenge if we really have to get into the character itself. So if for example there is a sudden addition to the scene. So we don't, I have to what to do with the character," he added.

Not only exploring character, this Saksa Kubur film player is also challenged to understand the political languages that for him are the hardest parts of this film.

"In addition, this is a political theme. The language used is also not a language that, eh what are you doing? It's not just that. But there are words or terms used in politics," Faradina said.

"So at least I'm having a hard time until one day I get an addition. Eh, not an addition, eh, the change of dialogue. What will be later is 'Tari, please'. Then usually directly on whatsapp with Mas Garin directly. Love letter," he said.

Even so, he was grateful that director Garin Nugroho could also be invited to discuss the language and character that he felt was not right to play.

"But Mas Garin is also besides that he can give suddenly that, but he also really accepts the input. So we can discuss that," he said.
