JAKARTA - The Elephant Main Series 2 is confirmed to air next month. Prime Video as part of the platform announced this news today, Thursday, July 18.

Elephant mother tells the story of Ira, a Batak woman who is looking for a partner before entering the age of three. The mother (Tika Panggabean) tries to find a suitable man for her child. In the first season, Ira, played by Marshanda, married Marsel, played by Dimas Anggara.

Elephant mother 2 will continue the story of Ira (Marshanda) and Marsel (Dimas Anggara) after they officially married. It has been two years since they lived in the house of Marsel's parents.

Ira began to be faced with an uncomfortable situation, so she tried to get out of her in-laws' house. However, the only way Ira was able to get out of the house was to have a grandson who her in-laws had been waiting for.

This is a anxiety for Ira because she deliberately postponed her pregnancy because she felt she was not ready. Ira and Marsel continued to be billed for the promise of a grandson as the successor to the clan, when they only realized that Ira had fertility problems.

Muhadkly Acho is still directing and writing the second season of the Elephant Mother, continuing its first part which is becoming popular in Indonesia. Apart from Marshanda and Dimas Anggara, this series also stars Tamara Geraldine, Paulus Simangunsong, Mikha Tambayong, Erdin Werdrayana, Gita Bhebhita, Ibob Tarigan, and other actors.

The premiere episode of the Main Elephant 2 series will be released starting August 1 on Prime Video.
