Ruben Onsu's Household Fate Was Determined At Sarwendah's Presence At The Second Session

JAKARTA - The first divorce trial for the couple Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah was successfully held on Tuesday, July 9 at the South Jakarta District Court. Unfortunately, only Ruben Onsu's attorney was seen attending the divorce trial.

Seeing the absence of the defendant alias Sarwendah, the South Jakarta District Court will again make a summons. It is planned that the divorce trial for the married couple in 2013 will be held again on July 16.

"The panel of judges recalled Defendant S on Tuesday, July 16, 2024," said Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Tumpanuli Marbun at his office, Tuesday, July 9.

Furthermore, Tumpanuli said that there was no obligation for Sarwendah to attend the trial if he and Ruben had agreed to separate.

However, if Sarwendah chooses not to attend again, it will even speed up the trial process because there is no need to wait for the exception or witness testimony from the defendant (Sarwendah).

"Yes, that is the defendant's right. If later he is not present at the second summons, the judge will decide the case without the defendant's presence," said Tumpanuli Marbun.

Similar to Ruben Onsu, who was not required to attend when his decision to separate was unanimous, which was considered the mediation process to be canceled.

"Those who must attend will be mediated later," said Tumpanuli Marbun.
