3 Times Absent, Andrew Andika Is Considered To Want To Accelerate The Divorce Process With Tengku Dewi

JAKARTA - The divorce trial for Andrew Andika and Tengku Dewi Putri was again held at the Cibinong Religious Court, West Java today, Thursday, July 4.

Today's trial is still on the agenda for summons to the defendant alias Andrew Andika. Unfortunately, even though it is suspected that he has received a summons from the Religious Court, Andrew is still not present.

Tengku Dewi, represented by her attorney, Tiara Octavia, said that her party also did not understand the reason why Andrew was constantly absent at trial.

"So today is the third trial, the parties are still calling, but the defendants did not come. But the summons has been received by the defendant, and that is legally," said Tiara Octavia at the Cibinong Religious Court, West Java, Thursday, July 4.

"But for the reason, we don't know why, whether he is his legal representative or Andrew's side doesn't come," he added.

Seeing that he had been absent from the trial three times, Tiara said that indirectly Andrew had even accelerated the divorce trial process with Tengku Dewi.

"Yes, if, for example, the defendant who has been summoned 3 times but is not present, it means that later the trial will be continued with the agenda of not attending the defendant. So for example later we can verstek. (The trial is finished) sooner," he added.

This is in line with Tengku Dewi's wish, who really wants her separation from her husband to end quickly.

"If it's from our client, we really want it to be faster. So because this is already in the third summons, it can be continued later to the next trial," he said.
