Perdana Main Genre Full Horror, Donny Alamsyah's Emotions Made Tired In Sengkolo Film: One Suro Night

JAKARTA - Donny Alamsyah is trusted to play the main character in the latest horror film for the production house MVP Pictures entitled Sengkolo: One Suro Night. In this film, Donny plays Ibrahim who is a corpse repair worker in a village who has advantages in helping supernatural events in the village.

Donny said that the Sengkolo film is his first full-horor genre film where previously he played more in action films or thriller films.

"This is the first full horror genre if there was one before but I think it's more of a thriller genre, not a frightening figure like now," said Donny Alamsyah in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday, June 14.

"For me, the horror genre must have a scary creature, which threatens to endanger the main character. So, if it was more psychological before, yes, it's not horror, this is full of horror, Sengkolo this time," he added.

This is the first time he has played horror, Donny admits that his emotions are made tired by the story in this Sengkolo film. Where he has to play various emotions in a fairly fast time.

"It's not that he's mentally tired, but it's like he's been practicing again and again, we'll practice from 9 to 3 o'clock at noon, that's 12 o'clock, that's like what I said earlier, it was shared, from the middle scene, scene 79 to 112, I think if I'm not mistaken, it was shared," Donny said.

"And it's like a theater, scenelessly, his emotions go up, his emotions go down, he's happy to meet his family, he's sad, he's angry until the ending is like that," he said.

Donny felt that this had to be done in order to give the best performance for the audience of the Sengkolo film. Moreover, this scene is at the end of the film which for him is the most important part of a film.

"That's for one scene, you're tired during training, but Mas Harry wants to see what this film will be like, he wants to be carried all from scene 79 to 112," added Donny.

"From the time he entered the realm of his dream to the parallel nature until it was finished, he wanted to know what it would be like because it was the most important thing. For me, ending is indeed the most important part in the film as much as opening, so Mas Hanny ensures that the ending of this film must be okay," he said.
