JAKARTA - The Avatar: The Last Airbender series is announced to continue into the second and third seasons. Produced and launched by Netflix, this popular animated adaptation series has been a global hit since its release on February 22.

The hashtag #AvatarTheLastAirbender made on social media produces one billion views in various content shared by Netflix and fans. This series is also in the spotlight after starring two Indonesian-blooded actors, Dallas Liu and Ruy Iskandar.

Announcement of the continuation of the Avatar series was also shared with the cast. Netflix uploaded a video when Daniel Dae Kim wanted to inform a statement from Netflix.

"Sorry, this was unexpected. But they (Netflix) can't announce the second season of our series," said Daniel Dae Kim, who made the cast look disappointed.

"But they told me something more important. They said they didn't announce the second season, but could announce the second season and the third season!" he said.

The cast was then shocked and happy to hear the announcement. This announcement is a continuation of Avatar's journey.

Avatar: The Last Airbender tells the story of four countries, namely Air, Earth, Fire, and Air, which previously lived together in harmony. Avatars, rulers of the four elements, maintain peace between them. But everything changed when the Fire Country attacked and removed the Air nation, their first step in order to rule the world.

The calm, which was thought to be far from expectations, began to change after the presence of Aang (Gordon Cormier), a young air officer and the last of his nation, tried to rise to be the next Avatar.
