SHINee's Taemin And Onew Reportedly Leave SM Entertainment

JAKARTA - Shocking news came from two SHINee, Taemin and Onew members. Both are said to be ending their contracts with SM Entertainment after 16 years.

Today, Tuesday, March 5, Taemin is said to have completed his contract with SM Entertainment at the end of this month. Not only that, he is rumored to be joining BPM Entertainment.

Hearing the news, BPM Entertainment responded, "Regarding signing Taemin with the company, we are checking the facts internally."

SHINee's youngest member is planned to continue his solo career with BPM Entertainment while SHINee's activities with SM Entertainment.

Not long after, Onew was also reported to have left SM Entertainment. However, unlike Taemin, Onew is not yet known to be joining a new agency. Onew itself decided to take a hiatus from SHINee's activities due to her health condition.

BPM Entertainment is the agency Big Planet Made which was founded in 2021 by the former head of subsidiary company SM Entertainment. They oversee VIVIZ, night Gak, Ha Sung Woon, Lee Mu Jin, Be'O, and Ren.

Previously, BPM Entertainment was discussed after being called inviting Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin EXO to join their contracts while they were still joining SM Entertainment.

This is thought to be the beginning of why the three EXO members filed for termination of their contracts. However, the third finally extended the group contract and made an individual contract with the agency founded by Baekhyun, INB100.
