JAKARTA - Seunghee from the K-pop group Oh My Girl was confirmed to join the drama Jeong Nyeon. This news was announced by Oh My Girl's agency, WM Entertainment.

"Seunghee will play Cho Rok in the drama Jeong Nyeon and take the challenge for her second drama. Please give her enthusiasm," said the WM Entertainment agency today, Monday, February 19.

Cho Rok is a student who joins a traditional theater group through an audition with Jeong Nyeon, played by Kim Tae Ri. Cho Rok's character is told to be jealous of Jeong Nyeon, but she is a very cheerful character.

Jeong Nyeon's drama is an adaptation of the webtoon of the same name. This drama has a 1950 background that tells the story of Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a woman from Mokpo who has no money but is born with the ability to sing.

The story focuses on Yoon Jeong Nyeon joining a traditional theater group to achieve her dreams as a rich person.

Seunghee is the latest player to be announced after Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, Moon So Ri, and Jung Eun Chae.

Seunghee, who has been active as a member of Oh My Girl, began to explore acting by acting through a drama called Oasis in 2023.
