Get More Than One Million Votes, Komeng Wants To Imitate Drakor And KPop

JAKARTA - Alfiansyah Bustami alias Komeng has received more than one million votes in the 2024 General Election until Friday at 16.30 WIB. The candidate for the Regional Representative Council (DPD) for the Election Area of West Java Province has recorded 1,116,035 votes on the official website of the General Election Commission (KPU).

The vote acquisition can still increase considering that the new vote count covers 46.61 percent of all voters, which are collected at 65,461 out of a total of 140,457 polling stations (TPS) in Indonesia.

After his unique photo in the ballot went viral on social media, Komeng conveyed his seriousness in entering politics.

The member of the Indonesian Comedy Artists Association (PASKI) said that one of his missions was to realize the aspirations of Indonesian artists, especially in West Java.

According to him, West Java is rich in art and culture, which if developed has the potential to become one of the sources of state income.

"I can imitate South Korean countries, with their cultural arts they can beat other countries, through cultural arts, drama (Korean drama), K-pop, and culinary as well, even revenue to the state budget is almost 12-digit," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

On the KPU's official website, Komeng also wrote that one of the goals of registering as a legislative candidate was to support the development of art.

"In order to develop arts in the West Java region in particular, in Indonesia in general. With comedy to provoke happiness," said Komeng on the KPU's official website.
