Adhiyat Didaulat Jadi Dilan Baru Dilan 1983: Wo Ai Ni

JAKARTA - Not enough with the story of Dilan's trilogy, now Falcon Pictures will present Dilan 1983: Wo Ai Ni directed by Fajar Bustomi. The story itself is still being worked on by Pidi Baiq and Alim Sudio.

Actor Adhiyat will play Dilan at the age of 12 who lives in Bandung. In 1983, Dilan and his family moved to East Timor because of his father who worked as a soldier.

A year and a half later, Dilan returned to Bandung and met Mei Lien (Malea Emma), a girl who had just moved from Semarang. Dilan started to have feelings for May but they couldn't date.

"We are very happy to be back presenting the film Dilan which fans have been waiting for. The difficulty is when looking for the figures of Dilan and Malea. Even about 2 years of our search, until finally finding Adhiyat and Malea," said Frederica as producer.

Adhiyat, who is trusted to play the character Dilan, admitted that he had learned about the figure of Dilan. He learned a lot about Dilan from Pidi Baiq and Fajar Bustomi.

"I've learned a lot from Pidi and Mas Fajar Bustomi's father. How will Dilan talk, and his attitude. But everything is possible," said Adhiyat.

Malea Emma, who has many careers in Hollywood, also revealed her difficulty playing the character Mei Lien.

"I really like it. It's just the difficulty, I have to speak Indonesian. Luckily there is uncle Norman who teaches me, so I can be even better at Indonesian. I like my friends here," said Malea Emma.

Besides Adhiyat and Malea Emma, this film is played by Bucek Deep, Ira Wibowo, Ashel JKT 48, Zayyan Sakha, Cok Simbara, Muzakki, Queen, Sulthan, Ferdinand, Keanu Azka, Graciella Abigail, Shania Diva, Cleo, Saya, Miike Amalia, Annisa Hertami, and Daan Aria.

Dilan 1983: Wo Ai Ni is scheduled to hit theaters this year.
