Soon To Produce, Michael Jackson's Biopic Film Will Air 2025

JAKARTA - Michael Jackson's biopic has finally found a release date. The film, which tells the pop star, is produced by Lionsgate and Universal with a different distribution plan.

In addition, this film is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is scheduled to air on April 18, 2025. The biopic is titled Michael and stars Jaafar Jackson who is the biological nephew of the pop star.

Production of this film will begin on January 22. Apart from Jaafar, it is not yet known who will join this project.

Michael's film is produced by Graham King, who previously produced Bohemian Rhapsody. The film will focus on Michael Jackson's journey to become King of Pop.

"Films present tragedy and victory on a cinematic scale from a humanist and personal perspective to an inevitable creative and genius side, supported by the most iconic appearance," reads the official statement regarding the story of this film.

The audience will glimpse one of the most influential and pioneer artists the world has ever known," they continued.

Property rights holders Michael Jackson, John Branca and John McClain are also executive producers of this film. As a result, it is likely that some of the conflicts that Michael has experienced will affect how this film is delivered.

Michael's release date was previously held by The Exorcist: Deceiver which was later removed from the release date after director David Gordon Green left the project. Currently, the production house is looking for a new director for production and targets the release on April 18, 2025.

Michael Jackson is a pop star who died in 2009 at the age of 50.
