Bong Joon Ho, Yoon Jong Shin, And The Association Of South Korean Artists Investigate Lee Sun Kyun's Case

JAKARTA - The South Korean Cultural Artists Association (The Cultural Artists Solidarity) will hold a press conference on the late Lee Sun Kyun. They urged the authorities to investigate the actor's case until it was completed.

Director Bong Joon Ho, musician Yoon Jong Shin, actor Lee Won Tae, actor Choi Deok Moon will attend the press conference. The leaders of the association were also confirmed to attend the event.

They will hold an event entitled Cultural Artist's Demand Against Lee Sun Kyun's Late Death which will be held on January 12 in Junggu, Seoul.

This conference will be hosted by Jang Won Seok, CEO of BA Entertainment as well as film producer who produced several films starring Lee Sun Kyun such as Crime City.

"On the case of his death, we agree that things like this should not be repeated, and urge the authorities to investigate for truth, ask the media to reflect and remove articles that are not in accordance with reporting purposes," they quoted SPOTV as saying today, Tuesday, January 9.

And also demanded a revision of the law to protect the human rights of cultural actors. We plan to propose that, "he said.

This association consists of 29 organizations engaged in culture and art. A number of entertainment actors who attended were good friends of actor Lee Sun Kyun.

Lee Sun Kyun passed away on December 27, 2023 in a car in a park. He was found after the police received a report from Jeon Hye Jin when they found out her husband was missing.

This tragic incident occurred when Lee Sun Kyun was caught in a case of drug use and extortion. He did three examinations and got negative results but he continued to be involved because his name was mentioned by one of the elements.
