Zack Snyder Reveals Army Of The Dead Release Date On Netflix

JAKARTA - Director Zack Snyder announced the latest news regarding the zombie film Army of the Dead last Sunday. The film will premiere on May 21, simultaneously on Netflix.

Army of the Dead tells the story of a zombie phenomenon that dominates Las Vegas. A group of mercenaries carry out the biggest robbery and adventure in the middle of the quarantine zone.

Written by Snyder with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold, this film stars a number of names namely Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Michael Cassidy.

It is known, Tig Notaro replaced Chris D'Elia in August 2020 after the alleged sexual harassment case against D'Elia.

Army of the Dead is a sequel to the film Dawn of the Dead which was launched in 2004. In addition, there is an animated series titled Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas which tells Scott (Dave Bautista) who faces the first zombie case in Las Vegas. The series will be an extension of the Army of the Dead film franchise.

The film Army of the Dead isn't the only project Snyder has been waiting for audiences. Justice League Snyder's Cut will also air on HBO Max on May 18.

On the same day, Snyder also uploaded the first poster of Army of the Dead featuring a door. The first teaser will be released on Thursday this week.
