JAKARTA - Other Husbands' films will air starting January 4, 2024 in all Indonesian cinemas. The film produced by Bawana Entertainment is directed by John De Rantau, which is reinforced by a line of top Indonesian stars from Morgan Oey, Acha Septriasa, Omar Daniel, Alex Abbad, Samuel Rizal, to Anya Geraldine.

Another Husband's Scenario was written by Benni Setiawan. Executive Producer of Other Husbands' films, Muchamad Wachid is optimistic that this film will have a special place in the hearts of Indonesian film lovers.

"A unique affair story wrapped with an interesting plot will provide a special presentation in the hearts of the audience, besides that this film will bring many surprises to the audience of Indonesian films," Muchamad Wachid said at a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 26.

This film tells the story of Danan Dimitri (Morgan Oey) and Olivia Sastranegara (Acha Septriasa), a couple who have not been married for years. Over time, their marriage entered the bland and boring phase. Danan-Olivia's household got hotter after the family questioned her.

At the peak of annoyance, Olivia asked for a divorce. The conflict peaked after Jordy Anwar (Omar Daniel) 'colored' Danan and Olivia's household.

Director John de Rantau said that the storyline of Other Husbands is actually close to the portrait of the lives of Indonesians. The audience will be brought to feel the sadness and tension experienced by the characters in this film. The ending of this film story is unexpected besides that this story is based on the events of close friends and my personal life," he said.

The point of view of the film Husband Others invites the audience not to place women as victims of patriarchal culture. "So far, women have always been victims and who are always blamed, what if now it was a woman who took the initiative like a man what would happen? a story that provides an alternative thought to the patriarchal world," explained John de Rantau.
