JAKARTA - The film Layangan Putus continues the story between Kinan (Raihaanun) and Aris (Reza Rahadian) after separating due to the issue of a third person named Lidya (Anya Geraldine). With a big screen format, Benny Setiawan as the director shows another side of their story. This film continues from the series Layangan Putus which aired some time ago. Kinan will show his strong figure to raise his child, namely Raya. With the new problem from the previous series, the film Layangan Putus has a more complex story than just an affair. MD Pictures producer Manoj Punjabi told the reason why he chose to continue this story as a film instead of a season 2 series. "For me the series is not finished yet, it's still not finished. When I offered to make the sequel, Reza said he didn't want two seasons, he wanted a film," he said during the gala premiere at Plaza Indonesia, Tuesday, December 19. Hearing this statement, Manoj was challenged to develop a film story. Because Aris is already attached to Reza Rahadian and it is impossible to be played by other people. "I'm really tough if the season two series. That's why it becomes a film," said Reza Rahadian. Paired with Raihaanun, Reza admitted that he was greatly helped. "I feel lucky to work together with Raihanun. He knows where Kinan is. "There is no difficulty in this film because I am surrounded by an extraordinary team," he explained.

Raihaanun explained that his character as Kinan was very strong and interesting, so he decided to be involved in the film project from the continuation of this series of the same name. “ I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me, the process I really enjoyed being Kinan. The character (Kinan) itself is already very strong (in this film), so when given the script, I don't think long, ‘I care to do this part ’,” Raihaanun said "First, after meeting I said Raihanun to be Kinan. After the script, I was very sure that Raihanun was right for this film," explained Manoj Punjabi.
