Claiming To Be Separated From Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Affirms No Divorce

JAKARTA - There is no divorce from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith even though the two have been separated for years. This was discussed by Jada when she was a guest on The Drew Barrymore.

When Jada's latest book was released, he revealed that he and Will Smith had been separated since 2016. Even so, they did not take care of their divorce and chose to stay in the same house.

Jada and Will married in 1997 and blessed with two children, Jaden and airing.

"I think maybe you and your dreams are separated, whether you stay together or not. It sounds like you're staying together forever," Drew Barrymore said.

"We stay together forever," replied Jada Pinkett quoting Metro.

Furthermore, Jada explained that they had tried to live separately, but the effort was unsuccessful. Then, they chose to make up and continue their household.

"I tried, we tried," he said again.

Last October, Jada Pinkett explained that his marriage status with Will was still recorded. He considers them not divorced in writing.

"I don't think it's ready yet. I'm still trying to figure out how we can both partner, and how do we present it to people, you know? And we haven't found a way yet," explained Jada.

"I think in 2016, we were tired of trying. I think we were in fantasy how people looked at us," he continued.

This fact certainly shocked the public because Jada Pinkett and Will Smith always looked harmonious on various occasions. Will even defended Jada when Chris Rock quipped his wife on the Oscar stage in 2022.
