Mnet MAMA Collaborates With Teddy For I-LAND 2

JAKARTA - The first day of the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) music event (MAMA) was held on Monday, November 28. The event, which was held in Tokyo, Japan, also gave a number of surprises to the audience.

On the sidelines of the event, Mnet broadcast a 30-second teaser featuring I-LAND 2. This event will produce K-pop groups with well-known agencies and producers.

In its first season, I-LAND was held in collaboration with HYBE's agency and produced ENHYPEN which debuted in 2020 under the Belift Lab. This agency is a collaboration between HYBE and CJ ENM,

Through this teaser, the second season will collaborate with Teddy, producer of YG Entertainment for his agency, THE BLACKLABEL.

Previously, Mnet explained that despite collaborating with Teddy, the group that will debut will be produced by Wakeone. The audition registration has been held from July to August and is open globally.

There is no detailed information regarding I-LAND 2 but Mnet confirmed this event will air in April 2024.

Teddy is a producer who has worked for YG Entertainment for a long time. He produced various hits performed by BIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, as well as several solo projects for group members.

In 2015, Teddy founded a sub-label called THE BLACKLABEL with Kush under the company YG Entertainment. Their artists consist of Taeyang, Jeon So Mi, Zion.T, Loren, and actor Park Bo Gum.

Recently, THE BLACKLABEL also welcomed actor Lee Jong Won who joined the label.
