Strike Ends, Marvel Changes Deadpool Release Date 3

JAKARTA - The SAG-AFTRA actor union strike officially ended on Thursday, November 9 yesterday. A number of production houses have changed their latest film release strategy, including Marvel Studio.

After several months of delay due to being hit by a strike, Marvel Studio changed several release dates for their film. Deadpool 3 which was originally scheduled for May 3, 2024, changed to July 26, 2024, theatrically.

Deadpool 3 takes the position of the release date for the film Captain America: Brave New World which is now announced to air on February 14, 2025. With this, Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel cinematic universe film to air in 2024.

The film Thunderbolts, which was originally scheduled for release on December 20, 2024, will be July 25, 2025. Likewise with Blade, which is now airing on November 7, 2025.

The SAF-AFTRA strike, which began last July, has an impact on the ongoing production of the Deadpool 3 film. Four months delay, Marvel plans to resume production before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Captain: America: Brave New World reported Variety has taken pictures and most likely they will continue production considering it has been delayed for up to seven months. While Thunderbolts and Blade have yet to start production.

Apart from Marvel, Disney has also changed several release dates for their latest film. The remake version of The Lion King entitled Mufasa: The Lion King will now air from July 5, 2024 to December 20, 2024.

Production of Deadpool 3 film has been carried out since the beginning of this year. Marvel Studio teased fans by uploading photos of Deadpool and fire as the premiere. However, this production has stalled due to the SAG-AFTRA strike and will not continue until the situation is over.

Deadpool 3 stopped filming production and the players took part in the SAG-AFTRA strike. This was done the day after Marvel Studio released the premiere of the film which showed Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and fire.
