JAKARTA - National Batik Day is celebrated every October 2 which falls today. President Joko Widodo and the Presidential Palace held the Batik Palace, an event held to commemorate the national day.

"With the Palace of Batik tonight which is held to commemorate National Batik Day which falls on October 2. I invite all Indonesian people to grow pride in Indonesia's artistic and cultural wealth and actively preserve and develop it," said Jokowi at the opening of the Certificate of Batik.

The country's public figures also attended the Batik Palace event and appeared in their best batik clothes. Raffi Ahmad and Astrid Tiar as the host were seen hosting the event with batik.

The couple Atta Halilintar and Aurel Hermansyah walked on the catwalk for the Batik Palace event. Accompanied by the baby, Ameena, the three of them were compact wearing batik clothes combined with black.

The couple Titi Kamal and Christian Sugiono brought their two children to walk on the catwalk. Titi revealed that they used Batik tumpal wayang Solo with Sawunggaling motifs. "Hopefully batik will become more famous in the eyes of the world," said Titi Kamal.

Raffi Ahmad, who was present as the host of the event, guided the activity with a batik shirt with a black coat. Looks simple but Raffi's clothes match the meaning of the Batik Palace which is also enlivened by public figures.

Singer Rossa fills the Night of the Berbatik Palace with his voice and batik clothes. Rossa also performed a duet with the band Padi singing the song Maha Dewi to celebrate Batik Day.
