Adam Suseno Explains the Family Tree of Inul Daratista and Poppy Capella

JAKARTA - Inul Daratista's name was dragged into the polemic over allegations of sexual harassment that occurred at Miss Universe Indonesia 2023. The singer from Pasuruan is said to have blood relations with Poppy Capella, the figure the public has been waiting for the most.

Adam Suseno, Inul Daratista's husband, reiterated that there was no blood relationship between his wife and Poppy Capella. He also explained the family tree of Inul and Poppy.

"Inul's parents and her aunt's parents are stepsons, different parents and grandmothers. Well, his aunt married Poppy's uncle. But Inul's parents and her aunt's parents, who are called auntie (by Poppy) are also far away. There really isn't any blood relation or lineage," said Adam Suseno to the media crew in Tendean, South Jakarta on Monday, August 11.

Inul added that many other artists call him, from mother to mba, but that does not mean that he and these artists are related by blood.

"Everyone calls me mother, mother or aunt, even sis, but in lineage there is no bloodline, there is no flesh or blood," said Inul Daratista.

Even so, Inul Daratista did not want to make matters more complicated. He had no intention of taking the matter to court. For him, the most important thing is that he has given an explanation.

"There's nothing (take it to the legal process). I don't want anything like that, that person also doesn't involve me too deeply, that's okay. The important thing is that we have explained the situation," said Inul Daratista.

"We are also busy, no need to report anywhere. Poppy's party has no idea what to do with us," she added.

Inul then admitted that he had met Poppy Capella. She felt there was no problem with the former National Director of Miss Universe Indonesia. However, he wanted to underline that there was no blood relation between him and Poppy Capella.

"Poppy also met his family, introduced him to her husband, that was once, a long time ago, before her uncle died, a very long time ago. Yes, he likes to joke, 'Tip, I have a nephew', many say this is Inul's sedulure, Inul's nephew, even though there is no genealogy," concluded Inul Daratista.
