Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, And Ra Mi Ran Will Star In Drama About Pansori

JAKARTA - Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, and Ra Mi Ran will certainly compete acting in the same drama title. The three of them are confirmed to star in a webtoon adaptation drama titled Jeong Nyeon.

Jeong Nyeon is a story set in the 1950s that tells the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a woman from Mokpo who has no educational background or money but has an extraordinary voice. The story begins when Jeong Nyeon follows a traditional female theater to make her dream come true.

Kim Tae Ri will play Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a female pansori or a woman who focuses on the musical genre of storytelling. The pansori genre is one of the popular genres in South Korea.

Yoon Jeong Nyeon will move to Seoul to join as a member of Opera, a traditional female theater group.

Then there is Shin Ye Eun who plays Heo Young Seo, a woman with talent for singing, acting, and dancing. He came from the family to be and will be Yoon Jeong Nyeon's rival.

Ra Mi Ran plays Kang So Bok, the leader of the charismatic Opera group and has a straightforward personality. He founded Opera in the 50s and tried to defend the group he created.

In addition to the three, this drama also stars actress Moon So Ri who plays Jeong Nyeon's mother, Seo Young Rye. In the past, Young Rye was a genius pansori but she chose to retire and take care of Jeong Nyeon alone.

Jeong Nyeon will be directed by Jung Ji In who worked on The Red Sleeve was also written by Choi Hyo Bi who worked on the series A Time Called You.

These four main actors have succeeded in becoming a hot topic of conversation thanks to their satisfying acting. Kim Tae Ri, who was stunning this year with Revenant, proved his acting skills and project choices to no doubt.

Shin Ye Eun, who had experienced ups and downs, reaped success through her acting in the globally successful series The Glory. Likewise with Ra Mi Ran who showed his capabilities through The Good Bad Mother.

Moon So Ri also reached its global attention through the Queenmaker series which was released this year.

The day before, actress Jung Eun Chae received an offer for the drama Jeong Nyeon to replace Kim Hieora. The agency responded by explaining that nothing could be decided about Jung Eun Chae's latest project.

The production of filming for the drama Jeong Nyeon will begin in September and this drama is planned to air in 2024.
