JAKARTA - Coinciding with the independence day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, Indonesian film lovers will be presented with the iconic film Note Si Boy which appears fresher than the original version which aired in 1987.

Manoj Punjabi as the producer expressed his enthusiasm for the screening of Si Boy's Notes. The reason is, this film was delayed for seven years.

"Congratulations to all our cast and director, Hanung Bramantyo. We have been waiting for more than seven years, finally last year we were able to shoot, August 5, the gala premiere and will air on August 17," said Manoj Punjabi at Epicentrum, South Jakarta on Saturday, August 5.

Through this film Note Si Boy, Manoj Punjabi hopes to repeat the success of the KKN film in Penari Village in 2022. He wants to make a local film a film that is widely watched by the Indonesian people.

"My mission is that Indonesian films have always hosted their own country, which can also inspire the audience," said Manoj Punjabi.

Hanung Bramantyo also expressed his enthusiasm for the screening of Si Boy's Notes. He hopes that his film can be different from the rise of horror films and western films that have been shown in theaters lately.

"It's been a long time since I didn't feel smiling myself in the cinema. So far we have been treated to horror or heavy films, I hope this is something new. Hopefully you can enjoy the film," said Hanung Bramantyo.

Meanwhile, Alyssa Daguise, who played the character Vera, who used to be played by Meriam Bellina, hopes that her acting can be accepted by the audience. He also hopes to repeat his senior's success.

"Hopefully you like The Boy's Note. I'm grateful to be given the opportunity to light up Vera, hopefully, Vera can now be iconic," concluded Alyssa Daguise.
