Wanting The Creative Industry To Advance, Anang Hermansyah Supports Artists To Become Legislative Candidates

JAKARTA - Anang Hermansyah is preparing to return to politics. He plans to sit on the House of Representatives (DPR) for the second time through the legislative elections in 2024.

Not only Anang, many artists have recently expressed their intention to participate in next year's legislative elections.

Responding to the many artists who will become legislative candidates (bacaleg), Anang does not actually feel competitive. He sees it as a good step for the development of the country's creative industry.

With so many artists who want to sit on the House of Representatives, Anang sees that more and more people realize that the profession as an artist must be fought for to be better.

"I really support it. I'm a happy person that my friends have really thought that our ptofession must be fought for. That this profession must be strong," said Anang Hermansyah when contacted by the media crew on Wednesday, July 26.

Reflecting on South Korea with Kpop and Kdrama, Anang feels that the creative industry has the potential to become a valuable asset for a country.

"Yes, we see other countries like South Korea, the creative industry is very high," said Anang.

Ashanty's husband believes that discussions in the DPR will be more interesting if creative industry players also participate in discussions.

"If creative friends also represent there, it will be interesting in the discussion. We can see how in the executive to travel from the budget, and how we oversee budget travel and executive performance in the realm of the creative economy," said Anang Hermansyah.

"If the artist and creative actor are in the information and the disbursement of Indonesia's creative economy problems today can be further improved," he continued.

Furthermore, Anang stated that he was very happy if many artists were later elected to the DPR.

"So, happy friends can go there," concluded Anang Hermansyah.
