Mario Teguh's Chronology Policed On Fraud Cases Worth IDR 5 Billion

JAKARTA - Mario Teguh was reported to the Polda Metro Jaya by his colleague named Sunyoto Indra Prayitno. The man who was once known as a motivator is suspected of having committed fraud.

Djamalluddin Koedoeboen as the reporter's attorney said that the report against Mario Teguh had actually been carried out since last month.

"Indeed, last month we, on June 19, 2023, made an LP against a person with the initials MT and then his LP with the number 335 which is currently being investigated by colleagues from Polda Metro Jaya," said Djamalluddin to the media crew at Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, July 13.

Djamalluddin said that his client had already suffered material losses worth Rp 5 billion. He also admitted that he had pocketed a number of evidences, one of which was proof of his client's transfer to Mario Teguh.

"(Losses) are approximately IDR 5 billion," said Djamalluddin.

The lawyer also shared a situation that made his client lose money. He said that Mario Teguh was appointed as brand ambassador and asked to promote Sunyoto's skin care products

However, Mario Teguh is said to have not fulfilled his obligations, even though Sunyoto has paid some of the promised money.

"There is a promise in question to up skincare or business from our client, which in the end was not done. So that our client suffered a large enough loss and poured a sum of money into the person concerned in the amount of approximately Rp 5 billion," he said.

Furthermore, Mario Teguh is also said to have promised to increase Sunyoto's turnover. Unmitigated, Sunyoto admitted that he was promised an increase in the turnover of billions of rupiah within one month.

"The agreement is that the person concerned promises and lures us to use the services of his client, his turnover can increase by tens of billions in a month and for that our client must have the obligation to give some money to the person concerned," concluded Djamalluddin Koedoeboen, Sunyoto's attorney.
