Hayley Atwell Denies Having Special Relations With Tom Cruise

JAKARTA - Hayley Atwell opened up about the rumors of a relationship with Tom Cruise. Both of them are opponents of the film Mission: Impossible - Deadeckoning Part One.

Rumors of their relationship have been circulating for a long time, even last June the two actors reportedly ended the relationship. Interestingly, this news took place after Atwell got engaged to Ned Wolfgang Kelly in April.

In an interview, Hayley Atwell admitted that seeing Tom Cruise as an uncle was not the person he would date.

"I feel, 'Oh there are strange rumors, and it feels a little dirty, not like me," Hayley Atwell told The Independent.

"Why are things assumed or projected to me about my relationship with my co-workers and superiors? That's annoying," he continued.

Furthermore, Atwell explained that Tom Cruise is a person who always supports him, especially when dealing with such rumors.

When I talked about this news with him, he said 'You know what you are like. And that's all that matters the most", Hayley Atwell said.

"It doesn't matter what other people think about you, if you have integrity in you, you know what's most valuable," he said imitating Tom Cruise's words.

In a separate interview, Hayley Atwell praised the actor who was greatly dedicated to the Mission: Impossible franchise.

'He (Tom) doesn't want to make a film to encourage the audience. He doesn't want to film with a message if you don't understand this, you're not smart,' Atwell said.

I could tell when I watched some of the films the director made for him. I don't feel involved or think 'Are I stupid? Tom is not a stupid guy," he continued.

Atwell and Cruise competed roles in Mission: Impossible - Deadeckoning Part One. The film continues the story of Ethan Hunt and the IMF team performing a dangerous mission that threatens their lives.
