NCT's Jaehyun Will Debut His Big Screen Acting, You'll Die In 6 Hours

JAKARTA - NCT's Jaehyun is confirmed to make his big screen debut through thriller films. An exclusive report from Star News mentions that the vocalist in the NCT group got the lead role in the film You'll Die in 6 Hours.

"Jaehyun will appear in You'll Die in 6 Hours," said SM Entertainment confirming the latest news today, Monday, July 3.

This thriller genre film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Kazuaki Takano. Jaehyun will play Junwoo, a man who can predict the death of others.

In 2008, You'll Die in 6 Hours was adapted in a drama format. The story begins when a man named Keishi says to Mio that he will die within six hours even though they have just met on the streets of Shibuya.

Mio, who initially doubted the statement, began to remember the incident of his relative who died a few days ago. Half believe, Mio began to be friends with Keishi and assisted by Sawaki, they solved a chain case that threatened their lives.

Kazuaki Takano also wrote this drama, played by Tsukamoto Takashi and Makak Yoko. Besides Jaehyun, this film will star Park Ju Hyun and Kwak Si Yang. Park Ju Hyun becomes Jung Yoon who receives the death penalty, while Kwak Si Yang plays Ki Hoon, a detective in a murder case who will help both.

Jaehyun, who is known as a member of NCT, marked his acting debut through the drama Dear.M which aired in 2022. He plays Cha Min Ho, a student who harbors feelings for his best friend.

Active since 2016, Jaehyun has carried out various activities in addition to singing, from being a presenter to acting.

This year Jaehyun promoted as a global ambassador for a European fashion line. In addition, he also performed with NCT 127 and debuted with NCT DOJAEJUNG subunit. He is also busy with NCT's inaugural concert which will start in the third half of this year.
