Follow The Asian Film Awards And HK International Film And TV Market, Balinale Celebrates The Excellence Of Asian Cinema

JAKARTA - Bali International Film Festival announced its participation in the next two events in Hong Kong. The first event is the Asian Film Awards (AFA), which have recognized the extraordinary artistic achievements of artists and cinema in the Asian region and promoted the regional and international Asian film culture.

AFA was hosted by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), which was founded in 2013 by the Busan International Film Festival, the Hong Kong International Film Festival, and the Tokyo International Film Festival.

The founder of Balinale, Deborah Gabinetti, will attend the AFA event on March 12 invited by Dr. Wilfred Wong, Chair of the Asian Film Awards Academy. Two Indonesian films compete for the Asian Film Awards in several categories; Autobiography by Makbul Mubarak and Before, Now & Then by Kamila Andini.

Balinale has entered its 16th year. It has been recognized internationally for the diversity of its programs consisting of independent films Indonesia and internationally, workshops and industrial forums. After the AFA event, Gabinetti will represent the Bali Film Center (BFC) at HK International Film and TV Market-Facing Entertainment Content Market in Asia. The event will take place on March 13-16, and the BFC will participate with members of the Asian Film Commissions Network (AFCNet).

BFC is one of the founding members of AFCNet, a network of film commissions and film supporting institutions and film agencies in Asia that aims to encourage the growth of regional film industry and contribute to local development. AFCNet currently has 54 members from 20 countries.

Bali Film Center has more than two decades of experience in providing professional production services in filmmaking throughout Indonesia.
